Underwater Explorers is Portland’s longest established dive centre based on the outskirts of Portland Marina just across from O’Three. We always hold a large stock and are open every day. We are also the people behind the internationally recognised online dive shop DirDirect to serve as your local dive store wherever you are in the world.

We’re only a couple of minutes away from Portland Marina (diving hardboats) and the Sailing Academy, on the main causeway to Castletown (club boats, RIB shuttles and free slipway) and the popular shore diving site Chesil Cove.

We are a fully stocked dive shop, the largest in the region, with a modern indoor compressor unit offering air, nitrox and trimix fills throughout the year.

We have the largest rental equipment park in the area including cylinders, regulators, single or twinset wings, wet and dry suits, even twinsets and stage bottles.

We also have a large stock of last minute items in case you’ve forgotten or need anything. Fancy a bit of window shopping? Nothing beats being able to see, touch and feel a product.
