Training is purchased, certification is earned
Underwater Explorers has excelled in technical diver training since 2000 and is renown for its positive influence on many of today's active divers.
Being the first UK dive centre to introduce back-mounted 'wings' and 'Hogarthian' hose and kit configurations from recreational levels onwards (even the first PADI dive centre in the UK to teach in wings), UE focuses on safe, streamline and simple kit configuration on all courses - with emphasis on using non-narcotic gases and working within a team.

Our philosophy is "less is more" in diving. But we recognise that equipment is only a minor part of safe and enjoyable diving while practice, motor skills, stress management, team work, mentality and attitude is what matters most.
Tech PRIMERS Take the complete 3-dive Intro to Tech course whether as an entry to technical diving or the one day non certification Twinset Orientation (Intro to Twins) programme to learn and practice Fundamental Diving Skills. Our most popular courses that are run in real-life conditions in the sea where proper buoyancy control, trim, propulsion, descent and ascent skills are learned and practiced in the best possible way.

As a leading UK technical dive centre, our past students and their in-water performance, knowledge and team-work reflect the standard of our training. With us you get the best experience of sea diving where it all makes a difference, training in the conditions you will actually be diving in after certification. All of our courses cover diving and decompression in tidal waters, tidal movements and considerations. All of our training dives are conducted off dive boats at sea in 'real-life' conditions.

Helitrox it with TDI - Do it better and safer
Ever wondered what's it like to be feeling as though you were shallower than the depth of 30 metres but actually diving down to 45? Where you can see and remember a wreck, spot a problem, deal with any issues without suffering from extensive narcosis? Remember, Helium is your friend and TDI's new Helitrox Diver course brings you and your friend together for safer and more aware diving.
The Helitrox course focuses on the theory, methods and procedures for planned stage decompression diving utilizing Helium with no greater than 20% helium content in the breathing mixture. This program is designed as a stand-alone course or it may be taught in conjunction with the TDI Advanced Nitrox course.
The objective of this course is to train divers how to plan and conduct a standard staged decompression dive not exceeding a maximum depth of 45 m. The most common equipment requirements, gear set-up, and decompression techniques are presented. Read More
