Underwater Explorers is a dive centre with a difference. UE started off as Britain's first dedicated Hogarthian-diving facility training in wings (back-mounted BCDs) and what's come to be known as the long hose donation system, eventually becoming the country's first Regional Halcyon Facility Network Partner from where it progressively developed into becoming an Advanced Diver Training and Equipment Facility. It is the UK's first and only recognised GUE facility too.

As home to the  DIS-UK (Diving it Simple & Safe) alternative group/list and the Millennium Divers - Dorset Gas Divers team,  with the whole of its training and diving ethos based on Hogarthian diving.

UE has since the year 2000 provided divers with the most robust and reliable equipment and quality training while keeping everything simple and streamlined.

Our concepts, ethos and dedication to safe diving practices and safe gases has reflected to all stages of our PADI (Recreational) and TDI (Technical) training. We have played a leading role in the setting up and expansion of Global Underwater Explorers (GUE) in the UK which is now a registered, recognised and highly respected training agency both in Britain and throughout the world.

Its on-site shop is at Castletown, Portland and is always well stocked to meet the needs of even the most demanding divers.
