We at Underwater Explorers are pleased to
announce we have achieved official GUE Dive Centre status. We are
the first in the UK and hoping this will lead the way for others to
follow. This official status guarantees divers access to premium
quality equipment, training and services that meet GUE standards.

Underwater Explorers also seek to expand the GUE diving community
and support the broader goals of the organisation through training

DPV 1 Class
Underwater
Explorers is hosting its first GUE Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV)
level 1 class on September 14-16.
The course covers the basic principles of DPV
diving. Training includes an emphasis on awareness, dive-planning,
teamwork, environment, stress management, emergency procedures,
maintenance and trouble shooting and the potential hazards of diving
with a DPV. To qualify for this type of instruction, participants do
not need prior DPV training, but must be proficient with advanced
buoyancy control skills and high awareness level. Click for

GUE Training...
in Portland
In order to support GUE training and procedures
Underwater Explorers has linked with two experienced GUE
Instructors, Rich Walker and John Kendall. GUE classes offered range
from complete beginners course, GUE Recreational 1, to more
technical level GUE Tech 1 and DVP 1. For those who do not wish to
complete the ever popular GUE Fundamentals, a GUE Primer offers an

for try before you buy.
From Halcyon single and twin tank wing systems
to DUI TLS 350 drysuits. We offer a complete
range of cylinders from singles to twin sets, stage cylinders and
the regulator and wing systems to go with them. We even have twin 7L
systems if you would like to try something different. All our hire
equipment is thoroughly maintained and regularly checked. See our

Dive
Dorset and Dive Eclipse provide charter boats for some of the best
south coast diving. All the dive charter boats are hard boats with diver
lifts and excellent kitting up benches. Dive Dorset and Dive Eclipse can
provide you with a dive shuttle service or a day boat charter. With Dive
Eclipse and Dive Dorset you get a high level of comfort, safety and space
compared to Rib diving and at a every economical price.
Underwater Explorers, a dive shop providing high quality diving equipment such as HID lights, wings, BCD's, cylinders, dry suits, semi-dry suits, reels, spools, wet notes, regulators, fins, clothing, thermals, torches, manifolds, bands, masks and
snorkels. Equipment from Aqualung, Halcyon, Agir-Brokk, Scubapro, Apeks, Dive Rite, Fourth Element, DUI, Polar Bear, Sea and Sea,
Dive Rite, Luxfer and Faber can be found in the shop. Dive training is also provided from PADI Open Water through to full technical diving courses with TDI.
The Hotel Aqua provides some of the best and most convenient accommodation in Portland. The Hotel Aqua is three minutes’ walk from Osprey Quay and the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy where the 2012 olympic sailing events will place. Hotel Aqua is located adjacent to Portland Castle, one of Henry VIII's finest coastal forts used right up to the D-Day landings. To the west, at a brief walking distance, is the Jurassic Coast and Chesil Beach, 16 miles of pebble and sand formed over thousands of years.
